# Limenka releases Prebuilt Linux binaries for the Limenka fork of Bitcoin Knots 29.3. Each release lives in a version folder under `v/`. ## What's here - `limenkad` - the node daemon. - `limenka-cli` - the command-line RPC client. - `limenka-qt` - the graphical wallet / node. Built for Linux x86-64 (Ubuntu 22.04), Release, with SQLite wallets. Verify a download against `SHA256SUMS` at the repo root. ## Testnet node setup (a few minutes) A Limenka testnet is a fresh fork-chain: mainnet genesis, trivial PoW, no seeds. Run one node and a CPU miner and you have a working chain to experiment with (including the fork's time-locked contract handling). ```bash # 1. Make a datadir and write a config. The fork chain is `limenka`; # network-specific settings go in a [limenka] section. mkdir -p ~/.limenka-testnet cat > ~/.limenka-testnet/limenka.conf <<'EOF' datadir=$HOME/.limenka-testnet chain=limenka forkstandalone=1 forkmineondemand=1 # fork rules activate at height 100 (blocks 1-100 are parent-rule blocks) forkactivationheight=100 forkdelaysteps=1024 fallbackfee=0.0002 rpcuser=limenka rpcpassword= [limenka] port=19444 listen=1 rpcport=19443 rpcbind=127.0.0.1 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 EOF # 2. Start the node. ./limenkad -daemon=0 -conf=$HOME/.limenka-testnet/limenka.conf # 3. Wait for it to be up, then start the CPU miner (one block every 2s). while true; do ./limenka-cli -chain=limenka -datadir=$HOME/.limenka-testnet \ -rpcport=19443 -rpcuser=limenka -rpcpassword= \ generateblock "[]" sleep 2 done ``` Watch it climb: ```bash ./limenka-cli -chain=limenka -datadir=$HOME/.limenka-testnet -rpcport=19443 \ -rpcuser=limenka -rpcpassword= getblockcount ``` The miner mines parent-rule blocks up to `forkactivationheight`, then fork-rule blocks (the fork's cadence DAA, reward and delay commitment). A payment channel / time-locked contract set up on this chain resolves on the parent chain's ~600s cadence - see the Limenka README for the full testnet and contract notes.
